Maritime born singer/actor Tara Baxendale has called Toronto home for nearly two decades. She is a graduate of Acadia University (Bachelor of Music) and The Boston Conservatory (Masters in Musical Theatre).   In her professional career, this versatile performer has appeared in timeless musicals  – Kiss Me Kate (The Publick Theatre, Boston, MA), Into the Woods (Seacoast Repertory), in Canadian premieres – Dance of the Dead (DOA Productions – CanStage), and Chrystanthia (Theatre Aquarius), in classic plays – Life x 3 (Damsels in De-Stress Productions), Steel Magnolias (Plain Stage Theatre Co), and in films – 12 Dates of Christmas and the voices of assorted Playboy Bunnies in Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel.  Her passion for storytelling through the medium of song inspired her to create a solo cabaret, The Diva Fables, which premiered in 2007. Throughout the summers of 2016-2017 audiences had the opportunity to follow Tara through the Campbell House as Mary O’Grady Hunt, the leader of the Temperance Movement in Toronto’s lauded immersive theatrical production, the Hogtown Experience (www.hogtownexperience.com)
